카라의 니콜 “동방신기 해체 원치 않아”

* 최근 두 번째 정규 앨범을 발표한 5인조 걸그룹 카라의 멤버 니콜이 동방신기에 대한 각별한 애정을 드러냈다.

니콜은 7일 오후 KBS 2TV ‘뮤직뱅크’ 대기실에서 기자와 만나 대화를 나누던 중 최근 소속사인 SM엔터테인먼트와 멤버 3인의 법적 분쟁으로 해체 위기를 맞은 동방신기에 대해 입을 열었다.

니 콜은 일단 동방신기의 해체를 원하지 않는다고 말했다. 니콜은 “동방신기 해체 위기에 대해 무척 안타깝다”면서 “어쨌든 저도 좋아하는 팬으로서 동방신기의 이번 문제가 원만하게 해결됐으면 좋겠다”고 밝혔다. 이어 “동방신기 멤버 다섯 명 중 한 사람이라도 빠지면 안될 것 같다”면서 “모든 멤버가 한 무대에 오를 때 동방신기로서 빛을 발하는 것 같다. 해체하지 않고 지금과 같이 갔으면 좋겠다”는 바람을 이야기했다.

한편, 이날 니콜을 포함한 카라는 방송을 통해 선배 걸그룹인 브라운아이드걸스(이하 브아걸)와 공동 무대를 펼쳐 눈길을 모았다. 카라는 브아걸의 ‘어쩌다’의 노래와 춤을 선보이고 브아걸은 카라의 ‘허니’를 무대 위에서 공연했다.
