동방신기 日 VMAJ ‘베스트그룹 비디오’ 수상 아쉽게 실패
그룹 동방신기가 일본 최대 음악 축제 ‘MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARD JAPAN 2009’ (이하 VMAJ 2009)의 '베스트 그룹 비디오' 부문 수상에 아쉽게 실패했다.

동방신기는 30일 오후 6시 일본 사이타마 슈퍼아레나에서 펼쳐진 ‘VMAJ 2009’의 '베스트 그룹 비디오' 부문 후보에 '주문-미로틱'을 올렸으나 일본 정상의 힙합 알앤비 그룹 에그자일(EXILE)의 '티아모'(Ti Amo)에 아쉽게 트로피를 넘겼다. 후보로는 동방신기와 에그자일 외에 영국의 인기 록밴드 프란츠 퍼디난드(Franz Ferdinand)의 ‘율리시스’(Ulysses)와 미국의 록밴드 더 킬러스(The Killers)의 ‘휴먼’(Human) 등이 올라 경합을 벌였다.

에그자일은 'VMAJ 2009'의 최고상인 '베스트 비디오 오브 더 이어'까지 수상해 최고의 자리에 오르는 영예를 안았다. 에그자일은 지난해에도 '베스트 비디오 오브 더 이어'를 차지한 바 있어 2년 연속 일본 음악계 정상의 자리를 지켰다.

이날 시상식에서는 보아가 션 가렛과 세계 최초로 그녀의 미국진출 데뷔곡 'I Did It For Love'를 선보이며 화려한 무대를 꾸몄다. 션 가렛은 보아와의 첫 합동 공연에 대해 "보아의 공연이 훌륭했다"고 소감을 밝혀 눈길을 끌었다.

최근 일본에서 싱글 'My Heaven'을 내고 본격적으로 활동을 시작한 빅뱅도 게스트로 무대 위에 올라 "역시 VMAJ의 열기는 뜨겁다"며 일본 최고의 시상식에 참가해 얼굴을 비추게 된 흥분된 심경을 고백했다.

이날 VMAJ 2009 무대에는 일본 아티스트들과 그린데이, 블랙아이드피스, 시애라, 케이티 페리 등 서양 아티스트들도 참가해 화려한 무대를 수놓았다.
