[마이데일리 = 임이랑 기자] 일본 활동에 박차를 가하고 있는 그룹 빅뱅이 일본의 최대 음악축제에 참석해 유창한 일본어 실력을 뽐냈다.

빅뱅은 지난 5월 30일 일본 사이타마 슈퍼아레나에서 열린 일본 최대의 음악축제 'MTV 비디오 뮤직 어워드 재팬 2009'(이하 VMAJ)에 초청받아 참석했다. 이날 빅뱅은 특별초청자 자격으로 참석해 가수 케이티 페리의 무대를 소개했다.

다섯 멤버는 일본 팬들 앞에서 유창한 일본어 실력을 보여줬다. 자신들을 소개한 후 태양은 "여러분, 흥분되시나요?"라고 여유있는 인사를 건냈고, 승리는 "이렇게 많은 아티스트와 같은 무대에 설 수 있어서 상당히 흥분된다"며 소감을 전하기도 했다.

태양은 "흥분되지 않냐. 역시 VMAJ는 뜨겁다"며 유독 유창한 일본어 발음을 자랑해 눈길을 끌었다. G-드래곤은 홀로 영어 인사를 하고 "케이티 페리 환영해 달라"는 마지막 멘트를 마무리했다.

VMAJ는 그동안 마이클 잭슨, 머라이어 캐리, 니요 등 세계적 팝스타들이 참석하기도 한 세계적인 음악축제다. 올해 시상식에서는 보아가 션 가렛과 한 무대에서 호흡을 맞춰 화제가 됐으며, 동방신기가 '주문-미로틱'으로 '베스트그룹 비디오상' 부문의 후보에 올랐으나 수상에 실패했다.
