今や押しも押されもせぬアジアのトップスターとなった東方神起。2004年に韓国で、翌年4月に日本で衝撃的デビューを果たした彼らはZEPP TOKYO、日本武道館、アリーナツアーへと、着実にステップアップしてきた。TBSチャンネルでは、そんな彼らが2009年2月22日にソウルオリンピック公園第1体育館で行ったライブを、独占放送(TV初)することが決定! 多くのファンが待ち望んだ、日本ではなかなか見ることができない“東方神起が韓国語で歌う”最新ライブ映像をお届けします。また、3月には「東方神起2006 LIVE CONCERT RISINGSUN」、4月には「東方神起2007 THE 2ND ASIA TOUR CONCERT“0”」の韓国ライブも併せて放送。どうぞお見逃しなく!
あらすじ
【2009年2月22日(日)16:00～@ソウルオリンピック公園第1体育館】
開始予定から15分ほど遅れて始まった東方神起『THE 3rd ASIA TOUR CONCERT “MIROTIC”』。
彼らがステージに登場するまでの間は「“O”-正・反・合」の大合唱が続き、ジェジュン、ジュンス、ユチョン、ユンホ、チャンミンの5人が登場するやいなや、割れんばかりの歓声(というか絶叫)が会場を埋め尽くす。ソウルオリンピック公園第1体育館での3日間分のチケット3万6000枚は15分で完売したらしい。
にもかかわらず、円形ステージを取り囲むアリーナ席には、日本からもたくさんのファンが駆けつけていた。
スタンド席は負けじと赤いスティックライトを振る観客で激しく揺れ、熱気で暑く、酸欠しそうな勢い。昨年、さいたまスーパーアリーナで彼らを観た時もかなりエキサイトしていたが、この日はその日よりすべてにおいて圧倒的だった。
ライブは韓国で1年7ヵ月ぶりにリリースされた4thアルバム『第4集 呪文-MIROTIC-』からの曲をメインに展開。ソロではユチョンが「Love Bye Love」をピアノの弾き語りで、ジェジュンは「それだけが僕の世界」で魂のこもった抜群の歌唱力を披露した。チャンミンは「upon this rock」を英語で熱唱し、ジュンスとユンホは得意のダンスで対決。各々の見せ場では女性ダンサーと妖艶に絡み、会場から黄色い悲鳴が沸き起こっていた。
アンコールも含めてとにかく見どころいっぱいの約3時間。でも一番の見どころは、時折見せるリラックスした表情や、母国語の歌やMCなど、日本ではなかなか見られない東方神起の新たな魅力が発見できるということだ。ライブ終盤に日本語で歌ってくれた「Somebody to love」で、会場の雰囲気は最高潮へ。
アジアのトップグループ・東方神起の勢いは留まることを知らない。5月から始まる日本でのアリーナツアーにも期待が高まるばかりだ。
