동방신기 시아준수가 패티김과의 남다른 인연을 과시했다.

시아준수는 11월30일 방송된 KBS 2TV '해피선데이 연말특집 불후의 명곡-패티김 편'에 게스트로 출연했다.

이날 패티김을 만나 노래를 부르게 된 시아준수는 떨리는 목소리로 "패티김 노래를 들은 세대는 아니지만 인연이 깊다"며 "내가 16살 때 어머니께서 패티김 모창대회에 나가 상을 받은 적이 있다"고 깜짝 고백했다.

패티김도 동방신기와의 각별한 인연을 소개했다. 지인의 딸이 동방신기 사인을 받아주면 반에서 1등을 하겠다고 약속을 했는데 마침 지나가는 길에 동방신기가 라디오 생방송을 하고 있어 사인을 받았다는 것.

한편 시아준수는 대선배인 패티김의 노래를 호소력 짙은 목소리로 불러 "어린 가수가 부르기에는 쉽지 않은 곡인데 잘 소화해 냈다"며 패티김의 극찬을 받았다.

이번 방송에서 패티김은 지난 1983년 발표된 '가을을 남기고 간 사랑'을 완벽하게 소화해내는 시아준수의 모습을 보고 "나와 준수는 필이 통하는 사이인 것 같다. 내 노래를 저만큼 소화해내는 어린 가수는 극히 드물다"며 흡족한 미소를 보였다.
